Vocal Coaching
I have a unique approach to vocal coaching. What’s different? I build accompaniment tracks for the songs my students work on giving me the ability to be completely focused on the singer. They leave with copies of the accompaniment tracks, both piano only and piano with their vocal line. I am not a voice teacher but have been studying voice my entire life and while working on interpretation and performance I will share techniques and tips I’ve picked up along the way to help you nail that note.
Repertoire Building
This is possibly my favorite thing to do. Being an old school music nerd, I love helping people find songs that are perfect for them and their needs. I have a vast library of music from operetta to pop/rock. Having sung everything from Bernstein to Bon Jovi throughout my career I bring a unique and personalized approach to finding repertoire. Additionally, I help find the best cuts possible, create a clean professional PDF of the sheet music, and make accompaniment tracks, both piano only and piano with their vocal line.
Acting
Teacher
I ground my teaching in the work of Stanislavski, Hagen, Cohen, Bogart, Linklater, Fitzmaurice, and Ball, beginning with foundational concepts and improvisation to launch students’ creative process. Using Uta Hagen’s Nine Questions, I help early actors build clear choices and a reliable process. Because students progress at different rates, I assess artistic growth individually while holding everyone to consistent expectations for preparation and professionalism.
Music Editing & Transposing
